Mrs. Anna Vaccarelli, technology executive of the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the CNR (CNR-IIT) in Pisa and responsible for external relations, media, communication and marketing of Registro .it, was awarded as the best computer specialist by the Italian computer society (the association of computer professionals), during a conference organised by Confassociazione Digital, at the National Council for Economy and Labour (CNEL).
The award citation reads as follows: "For distinguishing herself in the prestigious assignments obtained as a researcher and manager of the CNR, and in the numerous top positions covered. Today, after many years of experience, she is one of the pioneers of cybersecurity, of digital science in Italy and an expert at the international level".
The CNR executive, originally from Taranto, graduated from the University of Pisa in Electronic Engineering. She has been responsible for external relations, media, communication and marketing at Registro .it since 2004. Since 2009 she has been coordinating communication campaigns aimed, in particular, at VAT numbers and small-medium sized businesses, to make companies and freelance professionals aware of the digital transformation and the opportunity to grow their business and "made in Italy" with a .it website. Since 2010, she has been coordinating and promoting an action to spread digital culture in schools, also oriented towards teachers and educators, through the project of the Ludoteca by Registro .it. She carries out and coordinates communication activities and technical and scientific dissemination on network issues also through multimedia tools, such as - for example - the WebTv of the CNR.
