31.05.2022 | Pisa, Piazza San Paolo a Ripa d'Arno - ex Convento Benedettine

The Ludoteca of the Registro.it is participating in the "Comics&Science" event in Pisa, one of the new traveling legs, resumed after the stop due to the pandemic, to be held at the former Benedictine Convent on 31 May and 1 June. The Ludoteca workshops, dedicated to cybersecurity with the help of comic books and the video game "Nabbovaldo and the cyber blackmail" will take place on the morning of 31 May.

The "Comics&Science" event is aimed at schools and institutes interested in discovering the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) world through comic storytelling. Two days of meetings, exhibitions and activities immersed in the world of Comics&Science organised in collaboration with the University of Pisa, CNR-IIT, the Museum of Computing Instruments and Ego, the European Gravitational Observatory.

The Pisa days will feature the participation of some of the most prolific Comics&Science authors such as Leo Ortolani (Misterius, The Internet Issue, The Crystals Issue) and Gabriele Peddes (The Babbage Issue, The Nabbovaldo Issue, The Cyber Security Issue), as well as Roberto Natalini (director of the Institute for Computational Applications at the CNR) and Andrea Plazzi (director of the Symmaceo Communications Studio).

Each meeting will feature an introduction by the Comics&Science team: on Tuesday mornings with the educational workshop curated by Registro.it, with the Ludoteca, and on Wednesdays, with workshops curated by CoderDojo and the Museum of Computing Tools. At the conclusion of each workshop slot, you can visit the exhibition of Comics&Science boards in the company of the authors and the exhibition on computer science entitled "Hello World!".
